Re: Gratefuld Dead AKA: ?
Here's a link to Ram Rod's collection of Grateful Dead odds n' ends, with stunning images to flash on, including:
original Live Dead album art (+ unused preliminaries);
several of Garcia's guitars;
a Fender top amp used in the '60s by Jerry Garcia...
(further reason to take with a grain of salt, respectfully, emails from Owsley stating emphatically that no one in the band used Fender amps)
Plus much more of interest, though rarities such as Garcia's middle finger are missing.
and speaking of remains, neither of Jerry's skulls are likely to resurface.

BTW, the hand of Three-Fingered Jack (real name: Manuel Garcia, no relation I presume!) and the severed head of Joaquin Murieta were pickled and preserved in jars.
After 30+ years touring the finer California establishments fully equipped to host dismembered celebrities, the hot headliners were last seen at Dr. Jordon's Museum of Horrors on Montgomery St. (near SF's Barbary Coast) in 1906...
